Agent Orange was 'very widely used', says minister
The Ontario government has confirmed that the herbicide was used to clear forests in the north.
The minister said the Ministry of Transportation used Agent Orange to deal with roadside weeds.
”Because it’s a herbicide that was approved by Health Canada for the 50s, 60s and 70s, everyone may have used it,” she said.
There are now indications that some farmers used the product — not on food but to keep unwanted vegetation at bay, Jeffrey said.
