"We brought back with us the ghost of war and Agent Orange to battle with Congress," Ota said, "but we also erected a monument to pay tribute to the veterans still on the 'last patrol' and those reporting to 'final guard duty.' "
"We need not be ashamed for our participation in the Vietnam War or our efforts not to forget our brothers and sisters then and now, but also to keep the faith," he said. "They also deserve a 'Job well done and welcome home!' "
