A Central Coast couple visited Mudgee and Gulgong on Monday on their seven-month journey to raise $1 million for children who are victims from the Vietnam War.
“Toxic Agent Orange has left Vietnam veterans and their families sprayed and betrayed.”“Hopefully we can raise enough funds to set up an employment program for disabled children,” he said.
“We also would like to set up an educational program to make children aware of toxic chemicals in the home and the environment.”
The Vietnam veteran said the effects of the war had separated families and he wanted to look at the bright side of life by providing the ceremonies.
“Families have gone through pain and suffering over many years and hopefully we can provide a little closure,” he said.
