A larger local U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs outpatient clinic is being built here to accommodate future needs, VA officials said.
Cardinal Construction of Waterloo is building a 12,000-square-foot medical facility --- about 9,500 square feet dedicated to patients, according to the VA --- near the intersection of Ansborough Avenue and U.S. Highway 20. The facility is scheduled to open this fall.
