I have a winter project. It's a 1976 Yamaha XS650. But a project is usually something that you work on, put some time into, take apart, add parts, tear down, build back up and complete, if ever. I'm far from that. I do occasionally go out in my garage and stare at it and then I squint my eyes and visualize what it will look like come spring time. I do have a vision if that's fair to say. It's not fair to the bike though. It's just sitting there on its stand, wanting to get torn down. It wants some new parts. It cries oil every night. My room is right above the garage and I can hear her weep.
I do have good intentions. I sit on chopcult, ebay, xs650chopper.com and a lot of other bike sites checking out parts and bikes and getting ideas from other 'builders'. It's hard to get motivated in the deathly cold winter up here in Southern Alberta. Although today we did reached a balmy -12 C, as compared to -30 C earlier in the week. Until I get cracking on the XS, the most work I did was taking a few shots in my garage to actually show you and prove to you that I do, in fact, have a '76 XS.
So yes, winter project? If taking pics counts towards my winter project, then I'm ahead of the game...
