Program Offers Veterans Chance to Learn About Benefits

"Before i got into the V.A., I didn't know there was anything out there for me, like any kind of medical care, or schooling or disability compensation for things that happened to you, including Agent Orange, in Vietnam," he explained.

Smith says that the event was important in addressing the unique challenges veterans face.

"Unless you are talking to another veteran, there aren't too many people who understand what you are talking about and what you went through with your crisis," he said.
