As It Stands: Food conspiracy of government and chemical companies grows every year

As It Stands: Food conspiracy of government and chemical companies grows every year

Talk about selling the people out.

The Food Safety Modernization Act (S510) basically, the act precludes the public's right to grow, own, trade, transport, share, feed and eat each and every food that nature makes.

Something to keep in mind: when ideological opposites unite on the same issue, such as the safety of our food chain, it's no longer about politics. It's about survival.

Instead of watching out for us, they are poisoning our food supply for profit.

MONSANTO: GMOs - Applying The Precautionary Principle

Applying The Precautionary Principle

Afterward, the professor asked me if I was aware of the precautionary principle, which is a scientific term that means something has to be proven safe before it can be unleashed, as opposed to proven dangerous after it has been unleashed (which is the standard in America today).

Like I said in my book, GMOs are inside our food. We can’t wash them off or peel them away. And now it seems they’re in our blood, too.

And I was sadly reminded of this when I read a recent report that women and infants who were tested in Canada have the toxin Bt—a GMO toxin—in their BLOOD because they have eaten “cheap” GMO-laden foods.

MONSANTO: You'll have to do more to avoid GMOs than what this article suggests

Is It Bad For Us To Be Eating Genetically Modified Foods?

Holy crap — I've been eating genetically modified food. Where? In the sugar in my morning coffee. In the canola oil I cook with. And in the good old inexpensive American beer we've resorted to in wallet-pinching times.

There is growing evidence of GM food being harmful, says Smith, who points to increased allergies in humans, as well as liver, immune, and reproductive problems in laboratory animals, and examples of death and sterility in farm animals fed GM corn. There's another example of the insidiousness of GM food — it has entered our food supply as animal feed. Yet farmers report that animals will avoid GM when given a choice, says Smith.

But Smith offers a hopeful message. He believes that just 5 percent of consumers can create a tipping point to stop food manufacturers from using GM food. “There are no consumer benefits,” he says. What can you do to avoid GM foods? Look for products carrying the GMO-free label. Avoid soy, corn and cotton and canola oils — above 90 percent of all these crops are GM. Choose cane sugar or local, organically raised honey. Beware also of GM Hawaiian papaya and some zucchini and yellow crookneck squash. For more info, go to http://action.responsibletechnology.org.

MONSANTO: Children of the Corn: GMOs Don't Qualify As Food

*AO Legacy posts as many articles is as possible because we believe in free speech. This does not mean, however, Agent Orange Legacy necessarily shares the opinion of these same authors.

Children of the Corn: GMOs Don't Qualify As Food

Hein explained that they had taken antibodies from women with a rare condition known as immune infertility, isolated the genes that regulated the manufacture of those infertility antibodies, and, using genetic engineering techniques, had inserted the genes into ordinary corn seeds used to produce corn plants.

Isn't keeping GMOs unlabeled a virtual form of mandating them, since that lack of information leaves a population prey to them? Does a population have a right to sue the government based on such forced exposure? ? Is there any connection between a current raw milk lawsuit in which the FDA claims the public has no right to choose its food or any right to its health, and the government/corporations creating an additional means of trapping the public into consuming GMOs?

Meanwhile, GE-corn, GE-soy, GE-cotton seed oil, GE-canola, are in most processed foods in the US. Consumers have little idea they are there, little means to distinguish them from other items, and they were never tested for safety for human consumption. Yet studies in animals repeatedly show severe organ damage and infertility/sterility.
